Some gentle reminders for a happy healthy Thanksgiving weekend! 🧡

This weekend is about a lot of things to many people. It may be filled with family, it may be spent alone, it may be full of plenty, or not enough. Happy traditions to some, stressful to others. The dichotomy and duality of the holiday is ever present.

Wherever you stand on what’s ahead, here are 5 ideas to check-in and care for yourself and/or your relationship as we head into the holiday weekend.

Hello Everyone,

With a heavy heart and also immense gratitude, we have decided to close The Hidden Grill.

We opened this concept in 2018 on a budget with a four year old and a baby on the way and could never have anticipated the challenges that we would see over the last 4 years. (We did not have global pandemic and historic inflation in the cards.)

This year marks the 30th year in Chris’s career in the kitchen. He has worked with some of the best Chefs in the country and his ability to learn and adapt has put him at the top of his field again and again.

With The Hidden Grill, we wanted to provide delicious, healthy meals to Tucson in a take-out format. The concept was the culmination of 3 decades of experience and creativity. Chris’s style of cooking has always been lots of veggies, interesting sauces made with whole ingredients, well balanced seasoning, and perfectly seared proteins! He has poured his heart and soul into this food and has risen to the rank of BEST CHEF EVER in our minds.

We have invested everything we had in this place, our money, our creativity, our time, and mostly our hearts. We have been rewarded with an incredible community that have made us feel welcome and appreciated.

We have unfortunately reached a point where we can no longer afford to keep pushing. Rising prices have pushed us out of range for the quality ingredients, compostable packaging, and other essentials required to keep the price point and quality service that we provide.

Like the song says, you’ve got to know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em. The time has come for us to prioritize our health and the well being of our family.

Thank you to all of you for your support over the last 4 years. You kept us going and made all of it worth it. We are forever grateful to you for sustaining this little dream of ours!

We want to thank our incredible staff current and past! You have made this place what it is and we are so grateful to know you. You are amazing and are going to do great things in life!

Thank you to our friends and family and this incredible community.

THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING REGULARS! We love seeing you week after week and some of you have been with us since the very beginning. We will miss you!

With that, we will be closing November 29th. If you have a favorite dish that you would like to see on the menu before we go, please let us know. We will be selling our spice mixes at the restaurant if you would like a flavor souvenir.
