Mama's originated from the desire of two brothers, Joe and Vinnie, to live closer to their parents who retired in Tucson, AZ. Having no experience in the restaurant industry, they decided to risk it all. Wanting to replicate the feelings and experiences they had as children around the family dining table of an Italian household, they designed a menu based upon the meals they often ate at their dining room table, centered around their favorite food, pizza. Mama's offers a complete selection of Italian mainstays, pizza, pasta, heros, salads, appetizers, and desserts. Come hungry or willing to share because the servings are large just like they were at "Mama's table. There are four beautifully designed locations in and around the Tucson area. Did you know? Mama's is named after our grandmother.
Some of our best memories are watching her and pop glide around the dancefloor at family functions, sneaking us kids some candy, pop singing to the big band tunes played over the speakers at Mama's, and those summer mornings when Mama (or Nonny as we called her) would already have the meatballs simmering before the day began. To this day, simmering sauce still makes us think of her. 🍝

We cherish those stories told to us of Mama forcing food into peoples mouths and pop chatting them up in a corner at the original Tucson location on Park Ave by the U of A main gate. Our grandparents didn't just support their family, they helped their children build something for us all, opening this restaurant together and giving everyone a place to gather. That's still what Mama's is about. ❤️

Happy Grandparents Day to the ones who started it all, and to everyone who taught us that food is how you show love.

Due to an internet outage, we’re currently only able to accept walk-in, cash-paying customers at this location. Online ordering and card payments are temporarily unavailable.
