Long time no see! Let’s get the heartbreak over with, this isn’t a coming back post. Although, we miss you so much! We actually have a favor to ask you.

The years since we closed our doors have been spent mourning, and reminiscing, sharing laughs and tears over stories. We would like to preserve those memories and stories in a place folks can visit when they want to bask in the comfort of the past, a digital archive.

We’re asking for lovers of Shot (enemies are also welcome) to submit photos, videos, scans, or even just stories to the archive. Anything and everything Shot In The Dark you have, we want it!

We will periodically update during the building process and of course let you all know when the archive is up.

With the decline of local business and the continued appearance of high-rises and student housing, Shot In The Dark Cafe has had to endure severe economic change. The Cafe persisted, and has managed to maintain it's space and identity up to this point. We had expected rent prices to increase, but...

Hello everyone,
It's with a heavy heart we must announce the permanent closure of our Broadway location, effective January 25, 2019. The gentrification of congress and the surrounding downtown area has finally pushed us out of this space, following a 400% rent hike and multiple closures under situations beyond our control. We will be back in a different location to be determined soon (hopefully), and in the mean time we ask that anyone who is willing and able to help us keep going reach out either through facebook here or in person at the cafe.
We love you all! This won't be the end!

It's back! We've got sweet, toasty, house-made granola! We'll serve it cold, hot or iced, if you really want. Your choice of whole, skim, soy or almond milk or Greek yogurt.
