The free fruit daifuku event is from 11:00 to 8:00 on Tuesday, 9/8. There is no need to order food for Ikkyu, and you can receive one to each person who comes to the store. I think it's a good opportunity to see the skills of Japanese craftsmen, try the taste, and learn about Japanese culture. All the products of this event are Japanese except for fruits. Drinks and sweets are made by Ikkyu employees in accordance with this event. The setting is from $5.50 to $9.00. Please enjoy it together. I'm sure you'll enjoy the taste of Japan. Ikkyu's family and friends will receive a fruit daifuku with fruit in the traditional Japanese daifuku for free. Yes , you all deserve it!

Chef from Kurahachi Restaurant who owns mochi snack restaurant in Saijo City, Ehime Prefecture, Japan( Yukari’s home town) , will come and demonstrate to make Fruit Daifuku one by one with our employees.

That's right, it's a gift from us! You don’t need to order Ikkyu foods. We want you to see skills and taste. And just we would like to hear it’s “delicious” from you!

Special drinks will sell at that day too!

I am sorry to make you worry. And I sincerely thank you for your many encouragement.

After the accident, I had a good rest for a week, and I was able to move smoothly in my daily life.

Tomorrow, from Monday, August 3rd, the restaurant will be open as usual. Of course, as advised by many people, with the help of employees, I will gradually regain normality without overdoing it.

Update 7/30 Thursday

This morning, Hiro met the primary doctor and received permission to move and work little by little. There was also advice that it was better to move little by little and breathe more because the breathing was not very strong for him now days. This week, we will be open from 4pm to 8pm while supporting him by all of us. Of course, if the pain gets stronger or breathing is disturbed, we will let him rest immediately.

He is fully aware of and grateful for the advice and encouragement from many people. He would appreciate it if you could watch over him warmly.

As for next week's business hours, we will announce by Saturday after seeing his condition.

We will be open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 8pm.

With the cooperation of employees, we will only open during dinner time this week. The ramen in charge of Hiro may be discontinued depending on Hiro's physical condition during operation. Please understand.

Sushi and grilled items such as Spicy Tuna Don Volcano, teriyaki chicken rice bowl , Yakisoba etc.. Brady and Yukari will cook can continue to be served in all hours.

Yukari and all employees want to do their best for Hiro. We all look forward to working with you.

New update 7/28 Tuesday

Hiro tried. He changed clothes and get on car to went to Ikkyu for preparation. But the pain is still strong, and now the pain is coming to breathe.

As a wife, I kept watching and helping him to make his hope come true, but it was painful to keep watching his pain any longer, so I told him to rest.

I posted that the Ikkyu Restaurant would open from today, but with Hiro’s wife's authority, I will take Hiro off today and tomorrow. I will let you all again after Thursday how goes.

I'm really sorry for the inconvenience. And thank you for warm message and support Hiro. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Please understand Hiro's efforts to open the again Ikkyu with pain for customers who come to Ikkyu. He really tried.

Update Monday 7/27

On Sunday, Hiro was doing repair work at a restaurant when he fell from ladder and hit the iron box underneath it.

He went to the ER this morning because his condition got worse. The result was a fracture of the side rib.

For that reason, we are temporarily closed today. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Also we appreciate northwest medical center ER staff, they took him quickly and gave him medications. Thank you for taking care of the staff who is also customers for Ikkyu.

Tomorrow is Tuesday, but it is scheduled to open at 11 o'clock. There may be times when he can't deal with it quickly as usual, but please understand.

Thank you everyone again for praying for him. We will see you tomorrow at 11am!
