Happy 4th of July from our family to yours! 🇺🇸

Came across this old Fourth of July photo and it brought back a lot of great memories. Growing up, this holiday was always about family, good food, and spending time with the people who matter most.

As the owner’s son, the Brenton from Trenton pie, it’s been incredible to watch our family’s dream come to life and see so many of you become part of it. We’re truly grateful for the support you’ve shown us since opening our doors.

This is Michael.

He makes all the dough at Tuccillo’s. He makes all the sauce from scratch. And if you’ve had one of our tomato pies, you’ve had a little bit of what he’s been working on his whole life.

Michael grew up in his dad’s restaurant, back when he was just a kid standing on milk crates because he could barely reach the oven. That’s where he learned the old way. Work hard. Taste everything. Don’t rush the dough. Don’t take shortcuts.

In the 90s, he opened his own tomato pie restaurant. Now he’s back at it in Little Egg Harbor, making Trenton-style tomato pies the way he believes they should be made.

Cheese first. Crushed tomatoes on top. Olive oil. Into the oven.

Tomato pie is simple. But it takes someone who knows what they’re doing. Michael is an old-school Jersey Italian food guy through and through. He cares about the sauce, the dough, the bake, and whether the pie leaves the kitchen the right way.

We’re proud of what we do at Tuccillo's and love what we do.
