Pianeta Restaurant in Downtown Truckee is hiring for a full time Sous Chef. We are a great restaurant to work with in North Tahoe Truckee, a cornerstone of the vibrant Truckee dinning scene. This is a well paid full time salary position.

Thanks to Everyone who came out and supported us this summer both inside and out! This week we have pivoted yet agian with the current changes back to TOGO Food and Wine. Monday June 1st 2020. It is a new week, a new month, and a new era for Pianeta. Pianeta turned its lights off on Sunday March 15th 2020 with a heavy heart. There was countless good memories in the old brick and rock walls of our little restaurant. Our staff and our customers are our family, and we lived life thru everyone’s up’s and downs, birthdays, accomplishments, and hard work. The unknown was our future and it was unnerving.
We are very exited to announce today that we are reopening for in house dining staring this Thursday June 4th. We are now taking reservations online thru our website pianetarestauranttruckee.com for the Month of June. In house dining will be reservation only, no walk ins, so that we can control the capacity of our dining room and allow for clear communication with our guests on our protocols for dining with us. The reservation system is simple and easy to use and does reflect our availability in real time and is the quickest and easiest way to make and confirm reservations for dining in house.
We are going to operate 5 days a week Wednesday-Sunday for the first two weeks of June and then move into 7 days a week starting mid Month. The Togo and curbside program has been going well, but we are ready to host diners nightly with the safety of our staff and our customers as the guiding principle. We feel confident in opening and executing hospitality in our own way in line with the regulations and guidelines provided to us by the State and County. Our nightly capacity has been reduced significantly, and we are working on expanding outside seating options. A big Thank You to our downtown Truckee neighbors and the Town of Truckee for working with us and the other restaurants downtown on creative options for outside dining. It’s going to be a fun summer downtown. Bar seating for the time being unfortunately is closed, but stay tuned as we are working on safely opening some of our bar seating as well as new outside dining options. We appreciate everyone’s support and can not wait to pop some corks, shake some martinis, toss the worlds best Caesar salad, and cook some home made pastas. Cheers.

Update from Pianeta and a few words from Tom and Nicole. We are cooking again as some of you know from supporting the Togo program currently, Thank You! You can click on the link to our website pianetarestauranttruckee.com and order Togo this weekend and next week from Wednesday thru Sunday 4-8 pm. Or simply call 530-587-4694 to place an order, check the menu online for what we are cooking. We are also planning & working hard on reopening for In House dinning soon. Please stay tuned to any social media and our website thru the link in our bio on the future dates on re-opening and when we will start taking reservations online for when we are ready to re-open. The potential for more outside seating, which is being supported by the Town of Truckee is greatly appreciated and very exiting. We are working hard on our plan to be able to execute a safe and memorable dinning experience for out guests for in house dining soon. Thanks again to everyone who supported us before, during, and currently in these challenging times.
