The wait is almost over—our Honey Hound Honey will be available very, very soon! Right now, we’re triple filtering, bottling, and labeling each small batch at 6,600 feet.

We were so fortunate to be invited into the kindergarten classes at Glenshire Elementary to help kick off their Honeybee Learning Week!

To make the week extra special, we brought along a live frame of bees so the students could see these incredible pollinators up close while learning some amazing bee facts.

At Honey Hill Tahoe Farm, our mission is to educate the next generation on the vital role honeybees play in pollination and keeping our local environment thriving. Teaching these curious young minds was an absolute joy! 🍯🌻

Beekeeping in the Tahoe National Forest comes with a few... extra challenges. 🐻👇

The other night, the Honey Hounds went wild. We let them out, and they chased a huge bear right into the treeline. The culprit? He smelled a couple of bee frames in the bed of my truck, tore the top off, and went to town licking up every last bit of honey he could reach.

Totally our fault for forgetting we left bee frames in the truck bed overnight in bear country!

You are never too old—or too young—to fall in love with honeybees! 🍯🐝

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting a grandmother-granddaughter duo for a farm tour recently. This brave 6-year-old was a little hesitant at first, but once we opened up a hive and saw the magic inside, her eyes lit up. Safe to say we might have a future beekeeper on our hands!

Stepping inside a hive gives you a whole new appreciation for just how intelligent these little creatures are and how vital they are for pollinating our local flowers, crops, and mountain ecosystems. 🌸🍎

Before Winter Vacation…
