Today, we had the pleasure of receiving 64 pounds of Alaskan Sockeye Salmon from Craig Maclay and his daughter Lily (and their two dogs, Westley and Princess Buttercup) 😍
We have been working with the Maclays for over two decades, dating back to Betsy’s parents’ ownership of The Eatery. We have received both tuna and salmon from them over the years - fresh, smoked, and canned.
Craig is a longtime member of the Trinidad community, raising his three children here, and showing them the ropes of the family business.
In their most recent foray in the fishing world, Craig has leased property in Alaska with the goal of acquiring Alaskan salmon from abundant waters and blast freezing to provide us with high quality sashimi-grade fish. While these salmon aren’t coming from our waters, we trust that Craig and his family are striving to source salmon elsewhere using sustainable fishing practices. We look forward to continuing our relationship with these well-reputed, engrained members of our fishing community and the Trinidad community as a whole, as they embark on this next chapter of their fishing journey 🙌🏼
Thank you Craig, Lily, and the rest of the Maclay family! You are truly awesome in what you do! ❤️
Much Love,
Betsy, Joy, and The Eatery Family ❤️
