Working Wednesday: Java Junction Edition ☕
This week, we're giving a special shout-out to Casey!
In the Mybrothermax video, Director Leslie Cook got emotional talking about how far he has come, and for good reason!
Casey is part of our Arkay Incorporated Unity Program. He first came to Java Junction with the Unity group for lunch. He stayed quiet and kept to the edges, but watching his peers prepare and serve inspired him to want to work here, too.
When Casey started, he was nervous and didn't want to talk much. Past jobs had been stressful for him. At Java Junction By Arkay, he found a patient, welcoming place where he could take his time and grow.
Today, Casey helps customers, runs the register, makes and calls out orders, and sometimes even sings and dances behind the counter! He has been in our posts and videos and even jumped right in to talk with a news reporter.
Now Casey is ready for his next big step: working with Arkay to find a job out in the community! We are so proud of him and can't wait to see where he goes.
To anyone out there like Casey: growth doesn't have to be huge.
Every small win counts.
Speaking up when you can, trying something new, or just showing up on a hard day- all matter.
Keep going. You can grow too! 🧡🧡🧡
