Memorial Day Weekend absolutely calls for live music on the patio.
So we figured… why stop at one band?
Saturday, May 23 starting at 1 PM, we’ve got THREE incredible musical acts taking over Strongman for an afternoon patio party:
• Wisco Kid
• Misisipi Mike Wolf
• Chad Kostner
Cold beer. Smoked meat. Live music. Sunshine if the weather guy behaves himself.
1:00-2:00 Misisipi Mike Wolf is a honky-tonk, folk and rock 'n' roll singer/songwriter originally from Mississippi and New Orleans. He lived in Northern California most of his adult life before taking a gamble and moving to Duluth MN in 2020. Mike twice named "Best Singer/Songwriter" in the San Francisco Bay Guardian, he won the Duluth Dylan Fest songwriting contest and has had his music used in many popular television programs like "Justified", "Sons of Anarchy" and "Man in the High Castle". He's toured the US and Europe many times as both a front person and a lead guitarist in other bands. His music is compared to Willie Nelson, John Prine, Waylon Jennings with a little bayou rocknroll mixed in.
2:00-3:00 Chad Kostner is a billboard recording Americana/Country artist located in Northwestern Wisconsin. Proud member of the Midwest Country Music Organization.
3:00-4:00 Wisco Kid isn’t your typical country cover band playing the same old radio-friendly, polished pop hits. They are the ultimate tribute to the gritty and rebellious wave of modern country music currently rewriting the rules of the genre. Bringing the heavy-hitting anthems of trailblazers like Treaty Oak Revival, Koe Wetzel, and Zach Bryan to the stage, Wisco Kid delivers a live experience unlike no other band in the north woods.
