Head down to Peaceful Side Social in Townsend for the 6th annual EVs in the Smokies!

This event is the perfect opportunity to see a massive variety of EVs—from cars and SUVs to electric motorcycles and bicycles. Chat directly with real owners to get your burning questions answered, or experience the thrill of electric driving firsthand with a test drive.

Even better? The first 50 people to test drive an EV will walk away with a $10 gift card to Peaceful Side Social, making it easy to grab lunch, a craft beer, or a scoop of ice cream while you challenge the kids to a game of corn hole or KanJam.

April’s Sip.Savor.Support: the Townsend Artisan Guild 🎨✨

We had the pleasure of visiting the Townsend Art Center to present this month’s donation check and celebrate the incredible work they do to keep Appalachian arts, creativity, and community thriving right here in Townsend.

From painting and pottery to hands-on workshops and classes, the Guild creates space for locals and visitors alike to learn, create, and connect. We’re honored to support an organization that adds so much color and culture to the Peaceful Side.

Keep the Scottish Festival spirit going at Peaceful Side Social!

On Saturday, May 16th from 5–7 PM, local group Rich Mountain Celtic will bring live Celtic music to Peaceful Side Social, located just across the street from the Smoky Mountain Scottish Festival & Games.

After a day of pipes, kilts, clans, dancing, athletics, and all things Scottish, wander over to the Social for a festival-friendly break with fresh food, cold drinks, and live music that keeps the weekend’s Celtic energy going.

Whether you’re visiting Townsend for the festival or just looking for a fun evening out, this free live music event is the perfect way to wind down without leaving the celebration behind.
