🎙️ Let’s talk about flowers and Whoopie Pies!

💐 First, Hannah with Berryton Blooms has brought by some beautiful bouquets to brighten up your weekend. I know fresh flower season is nearing its end for this year, so don’t wait too long or you may miss out until spring.

🍓 Second, I’m about ready to pass judgement on the strawberry white chocolate whoopie pies. They may or may not make the list going forward so if you want to try one, I’d suggest coming by today. If you already love them, I have the same suggestion.

🤷🏼‍♂️ How many more reasons do you need to come by today? Here’s one more: Saturday means biscuits and gravy! Breakfast served until 11:00. Lunch served 10:30-2:00. See you soon!

🪴 Ernesto has us all set up with a new batch of terrariums. Several different styles and sizes to choose from. I have a suspicion that they will go quickly so stop in this weekend and see them for yourself. Even if your thumb isn’t so green, I believe you can handle a terrarium.

🙏🏽 Friends, I talk a lot about our dedication to students, but this is the first time we’ve ever been mentioned in the acknowledgement section of a doctoral thesis. Of course I have to share this and recognize all the young people here who take the time to write these sayings on our sleeves. Michelle stopped by yesterday because it was the one year anniversary of her successfully defending her thesis on workplace bullying (I’m oversimplifying because I’m not a doctor). I love these success stories. It’s why we do what we do.

🥓 Yesterday, I gave you ideas of how to avoid pork at breakfast time. As it turns out, today is National Bacon Lover’s Day! How do we love bacon? Let me count the ways: bacon breakfast sandwich, club sandwich (turkey & bacon), BLT, loaded baked potato grilled cheese, bacon on the chef salad. Pick your favorite and celebrate the day with us.

👩🏽‍💻 I mentioned the other day that we built our hours specifically for the students. Did you know we also have a private room that can be reserved? If you ever have need of a place to get together to work on a group project, we’re here for you. Comes with tables, or comfy seats and even a whiteboard. Of course free WiFi, too.

🥓🍖 There’s bacon. And ham. And sausage of course. Whether it’s a breakfast sandwich or a burrito. Pork. For some of you, that’s not ok. And we understand that. It’s why we offer our breakfast sandwich with your choice of turkey or roast beef (or no meat at all) if you don’t eat pork. It’s great having options.

🐷 While we’re on the subject, I have these three little pigs that need a home. You may as well get them, too.

🎷 Thankfully, one of our bakers just got us almost completely caught up. So without further ado, I present the Jazzy scone. Made with oats, chocolate chips, pecans and coconut flakes. Similar to the jazzy cookie you already love, but as a scone. Try one today!

🧋 We spend a lot of time taking about all the flavor boards and fancy combinations. And those are great, don’t get me wrong. But sometimes you just want a mocha. Or a caramel latte. Or just vanilla. You get my point. So today I’m sharing a picture of our flavor board. It’s quite a few flavors, including five that you can get regular or sugar free. So if you’re looking to try something new, you’ve got options.

👩🏼‍🍳 I gave you a little sneak preview of this Saturday, but today it’s time to be for real.

🧑🏽‍🍳 Straight out of our baked goods test kitchen, it’s the butterscotch pecan muffin. Just like it says, butterscotch and pecans in the muffin with a delicious streusel on top. If you’re looking for a little change of pace in your normal muffin routine, this is a great way to do it. Perfect any time of day.
