Really cute story I will love to share it with you all. Sometimes life brings your neighbors back to you in the sweetest way. ❤️
More than three years ago, when Olive Cafe was downtown, I remember hearing that a new boutique called The Mix was going to open right next door to us. I was genuinely so happy and excited to see another local business opening its doors. I was wishing them success and hoping we could both grow together as neighbors.
Life happened, and eventually I decided to move Olive Cafe to the west side, to 1700 and Fairlawn.
Then yesterday, one of our customers came up to me and said something that made me smile:
"Do you remember how excited you were a few years ago when The Mix was opening next to you downtown? Well, guess what? They opened down the street from you again at west ridge mall! You are neighbors all over again!" ❤️
After more than three years, we get to welcome The Mix as our neighbors once again. Sometimes the sweetest stories aren't planned. Life just finds a way to bring good people back into your path.

Welcome back, neighbors! We're so happy to have you close to us again. Wishing The Mix nothing but love, happiness, and success! ❤️❤️❤️

Hi everyone! Starting October 1st, we will begin selecting one family every week to be our special guests at Olive Cafe, completely FREE. ❤️

These families will be nominated and brought to us by people who know them personally, understand their circumstances, and recognize that they deserve an opportunity to go out, enjoy a wonderful meal, and spend quality time together at a restaurant.

One important thing we want you to understand:

If your family is selected, please know that this is not charity. It is our responsibility and our honor to welcome you, serve you, and treat you with the same respect, love, and dignity as every other guest who walks through our doors.

This is the kind of food I would travel an hour to Kansas City for… and here it is right in TOPEKA!!!

This visit to Olive Cafe was already special, but the owner and the host made it even more memorable with how kind they were. The owner does a lot for the Topeka community, and I got to see some of that firsthand.

Not only were they kind during our visit, but afterwards they posted my bouquet on their page. They were so supportive, and I’m very thankful to welcome new followers through their shoutout!!

I had been sooooo excited for Olive Cafe to open on Fairlawn. My excitement had been building as I watched that sad corner turn into something absolutely gorgeous, and I was happy to see that the inside was just as lovely! And the food…😇😇😇

The whole experience was an unexpected blessing that made me very happy during a rough week.

This is what Topeka needs!!! 🩷🩷🩷
