Well… Mexico didn’t win yesterday, but our community sure did.
❤️💚🤍

When we organized this event, our goal was simple: to bring our community together to watch a World Cup soccer game, especially to cheer on Mexico. Yes, we wanted to celebrate and uplift our Hispanic community, but we also wanted everyone to feel welcome—because community isn’t about excluding people; it’s about creating a place where everyone belongs.

People have asked me many times, “What does community mean to you?” For years, I didn’t know how to answer. I searched for the perfect response, the answer I thought people wanted to hear.

But through opening our business and getting to know so many incredible people, God has been teaching me what community truly means. He has taught me to love, to serve, to accept, and to help others. As the Bible says:

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” — Colossians 3:23 ✝️

Yesterday, standing in that crowd, I realized that community isn’t a definition—it’s a feeling.

It’s watching families gather together.
It’s hearing cheers and laughter from every corner.
It’s seeing strangers become friends.
It’s watching people feel like they belong.

I’ve learned that no matter how divided a nation can become, a community doesn’t have to be. A city can choose unity. A community can choose love. And I truly believe Topeka can be that exception.

Topeka doesn’t divide—it unites.
Topeka is home.
Topeka welcomes.
Topeka helps its neighbors.
Topeka celebrates our differences.
Topeka stands tall.
Topeka shows up.
Topeka is family.
Topeka is you and me.

One of the most beautiful things to witness was our Hispanic community coming together and, for a few hours, not worrying about politics or division—just celebrating our culture, feeling accepted, feeling seen, and remembering that our Mexican community is strong, beautiful, and always shows up for one another.

This event was possible thanks to the support we received. From community organizations to small businesses, so many people stepped up to help make this event possible. Your support reminded us that when one of us succeeds, we all succeed.

So yes, Mexico may not have won the game yesterday, but our community absolutely did.

—————————
Bueno…

Topeka no divide, une.
Topeka es hogar.
Topeka da la bienvenida.
Topeka ayuda a sus vecinos.
Topeka celebra nuestras diferencias.
