Make your weekend a whole lot more delicious.

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to skip cooking today, congratulations… we just gave you one.

Grab a monster “That Club” BLT stacked so high it should probably require a building permit, then swing by Aeneas Valley Country Store and grab a bottle of Not Doug’s Cold Brew Espresso for the drive home. It’s the perfect way to beat the heat without sacrificing flavor.

Some of you already know him as the namesake behind Carter’s Cinnamon Roll French Toast, but today 14 year old Carter traded his menu item for an apron and spent the day working alongside his Nana at Not Doug’s.

He helped Brad prep our briskets, jumped in to make Hangover Burritos, delivered food and milkshakes to customers, and even learned how to make a few milkshakes himself.

Then, right in the middle of the rush, our ice cream machine decided it had other plans. Carter rolled up his sleeves, helped Nana tear the machine apart, got it back together, and before long the milkshakes were flowing again!

Around here, being part of the crew means learning that every job matters, whether it’s prepping brisket before the doors open or fixing equipment so customers don’t miss out on their favorite treats.

I’m incredibly proud of you, Carter. Thank you for spending your day with your Nana and working so hard. ❤️

Who knows… maybe one day we’ll have to add another Carter creation to the menu. 😉

If you’re wearing shorts and you’re still sweating…

It’s milkshake season.

Actually, around here it’s always milkshake season, but today you’ve got an excuse.

Skip standing over a hot stove.

Come let us do the cooking while one of our baristas builds you a ridiculously good milkshake.

Grab a Knuckle Sandwich, a breakfast burrito, one of Rose’s homemade specials, or whatever sounds good today… then top it off with the coldest, thickest milkshake around.

The weekend officially starts today, and we’re ready.

The smokers have been working all night.
Breakfast until 11:30.
The brisket is ready.
The milkshakes are cold.
The cold brew is stocked.
And yes… the Not Doug’s Dills are back on the shelves.

Whether you’re headed to the lake, the mountains, camping, four-wheeling, or just out for a drive, make one stop you’ll actually remember.

Good food.
Great coffee.
Cold drinks.
A yard full of games.

Carson came down to Not Doug’s last night and spent the evening helping make pickles. He cut 24 pounds of cucumbers all by himself and earned this jar to take home.

He was so excited to get home and show everyone what he made. 🥹

The funny part is that he’s 11 and has never had a Not Doug’s Dill before. He’s just started branching out and trying new foods, so this weekend he’ll get to taste the very pickles he helped make himself.

Moments like this are a reminder that Not Doug’s has always been about more than food. It’s about family, teaching the next generation, and taking pride in doing things by hand. 💚🥒

Carson wants everyone to know that the pickles he worked so hard to make are available only at Aeneas Valley Country Store.
