Tejas Chocolate & Barbecue Selling barbecue to pay for our chocolate making habbit in the oldest building in Tomball,TX. We call it The Craftory. Friends, we just followed the path.

Southern Living Magazine listed us as the 8th best joint of the south 2019. How did chocolate & barbecue happen in the same place is the question we get often. We started a hobby at home making bean to bar chocolate. Sales went very well at farmers markets and with some retailers. Then we decided to open our own store. Chocolate sales alone were not going to be enough to make it our livelihood, so we decided to add a cafe to the business plan. When we found the old house on North Elm Street in Tomball and looked at the market, we decided Old Town Tomball could use a good barbecue joint. That's exactly how we got here. We make chocolate and truffles from raw cocoa beans, and smoke USDA Prime Grade briskets in the oldest building in Tomball. Pretty sweet and smokey is what we were thinking. Love to have you stop by and check us out. Ranked #6 in Texas Monthly's top 50.

Smoked Birria Tacos are available on Tuesdays. Beef is seasoned, smoked for hours & hours, and then braised with chilies, onions, and spices. The meat is shredded, and served on freshly made corn tortillas with a shot of a rich broth from the braising pan. Heirloom black beans from Oaxaca, corn chips, and seasoned limes round out the Tuesday Taco platter. Add some guacamole & sour cream if you like. 👍🏼 Bring your appetite cuz you’re gonna need to knock down this platter.

Our Monday special is a $12 chop brisket sandwich. Have it on our regular potato bun or a toasted sourdough like picture...

Our Monday special is a $12 chop brisket sandwich. Have it on our regular potato bun or a toasted sourdough like pictured. Sandwich comes with chips or you can upgrade to another side. The pickle, onion, and sauce dosage is your complementary individual choice. There are civil liberties worth fighting for, and if you want a pile of onions & pickles on your friggin chop beef that is YOUR CHOICE. Do not let ANYONE tell you how many pickles to put on your sandwich. Stand up for yourself! Happy Monday y’all.

Make that 3 years in a row representing Tomball in The Michelin Guide. It’s an honor & a privilege for us to serve Tomball and bring so many visitors to our town. This week we celebrate serving Tomball for 11 years. While we welcome visitors from far away places, it is our local regular patrons that helped us build a foundation to sustain us. I tell ya hwhat....Hank and Peggy are here for October!
Hank Hell is a dark milk chocolate ganache flavored with Fireball Wh***ey, cayenne pepper, and topped with a Hot Tamale.
Apple Brown Peggy is a toasted white chocolate ganache flavored with apples, brown sugar, and all the fall spices.
