**EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT**

We are so excited for our move, but have had a few of our items taken from outside while moving. If you have taken anything (specifically a 3-compartment sink) please return it, we are moving, not closing and need those items. šŸ™‚

****UPDATE: it was found dumped by the lake, thank you Larsen family and Tomah Police for letting us know. As well as everyone who looked. It is back in our possession!****

*VERY IMPORTANT, NEED COMMUNITY HELP*

Recently, one of our large, stone, antique statues was stolen. This statue took over 3 months by boat to ship from China to the US. After the fire and losing some of our antiques, this piece really means a lot to our family. Please if you took this, return it to our garage in the alley where it was stolen from. We won’t involve the police if we can get this returned quietly. Again, this is a very, very important item to our family and means a great deal to us. Please share and help us!

If any neighboring businesses have cameras and could look for us, we would also appreciate that. Our cameras burned in the fire.

We do not have an update yet, we will update you all as soon as we can. We get many personal messages asking about this and can’t possibly reply to them all. While it may look like ā€œno progress is being madeā€ or ā€œit’s never really coming backā€, Jiaona is working hard behind the scenes with contractors, architects, banking, etc.

Please be kind and mindful of your comments when posting, it is disheartening for her to read some of the comments people leave begrudgingly. Thank you! 🌟

ā—ļøUPDATE (2/21/25)ā—ļø
We finally have an update we are able to give you guys! Demolition of Peking will begin mid-late next week. They will be knocking down the current two buildings that Peking resided in. Our plan we are currently working towards is to be moving the restaurant into the two newer buildings we acquired (dance studio buildings). We have finally been able to get the ball rolling and are very excited! We want to send a HUGE thank you to: Mark Pierce, Tim Adler, Nick Morales, Tina Thompson, Kyle Von Haden, the Tomah Post Office, the entire Tomah Fire and Police Departments, and most importantly; the entire community of Tomah! You guys have been rallying behind us and never left our side and we are so grateful for you and can’t wait to reopen and see you all. Thank you!

Today marks the one year anniversary of our devastating fire. We are making progress with insurance to move forward with the rebuild of our restaurant. We will update as soon as we are given the final approval to begin. Thank you for being patient, no one wants us to open more than we do! If we could do anything to make this process move faster we would. ā¤ļø

Hello everyone!
Update: we were able to secure insurance for when we reopen. This is our only update as of now, construction has not begun yet and won’t for a little while still as we finalize with insurance, contractors, etc. As soon as we begin construction we will post to let you all know! We are still several months out from any sort of reopening, but can’t wait to see you all when we can finally get back to serving! ā¤ļø

We want to wish all of our seniors congratulations! Unfortunately we didn’t get to spend much of senior year together due to the fire, but we are very proud of all of you. ā¤ļø

We have been receiving many messages as of late.

A little update: yes, we do plan on rebuilding the restaurant. We have hit some stalls with insurance, contractors, etc. and are trying to keep the ball rolling as much as possible. Right now it isn’t in our hands for the timeline. Thank you for continuing to reach out and support us during this time. As soon as we have more definitive updates and timelines we will be sure to post. ā¤ļø

We are so sorry to hear of another downtown fire. Please keep all of the affected businesses and families in your thoughts and please rally for them as greatly as you did for us! šŸ˜”ā¤ļø

We want to thank everyone who has reached out to us, helped us, and donated in the last week. It would be impossible to name every person that has helped us, but we did want to name a few. Tyson Koput and Mike Murray for their help the day of the fire. JNC Latin Grocery Store and The Senior Center for giving us a warm place to stay during the fire. Andrea and family for bringing blankets and warm items during the fire. The Cleveland’s for providing brand new shoes for the entire family and those displaced. The Cossette’s for bringing warm drinks and socks/shoes during the fire. Especially, we want to thank the Tomah Fire Department for their hard work. All previous posts we have made to thank people, and any of the people we can’t name right now (the numbers are just endless!).

We truly have the best community and this is what makes living in a small town so special. The support we have received is indescribable and we will never be able to repay the kindness we have been shown. The most important thing is that everyone is safe and we will eventually be back and better than ever. We don’t have a time frame as we work with insurance and contractors, but we can’t wait to be back serving the community and see all of you.

Again, we just cannot name everybody that has been there for us or helped us in anyways.. please accept this post as a THANK YOU to the entire community. We are so lucky!
