🧡 Eight Seasons. One Incredible Ride. 🧡
This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write, but after eight amazing seasons, it’s time to start winding things down — Duce’s Dawgs will be shutting the truck down for good.
Truth is… I almost called it quits last year. But someone talked me into giving it one more season, and I’m so glad I did. This year reminded me exactly why I started — the people, the laughs, the chili dogs, and the love.
When I rolled this truck out, my goal was simple: serve one of the best chili dogs in Toledo. And because of all of you, I got to live that dream season after season.
To all my regulars who showed up rain or shine, to every new face that became familiar, and to everyone who supported this little truck along the way — thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏
A big shout-out to Nickles Bakery for always coming through with the freshest buns in town. You helped make those chili dogs something special.
We’ve had an incredible run — from winning “Best Chili Dog in Toledo” multiple times in the Toledo City Paper Dining Guide, to watching families grow up at the window. Those moments, those laughs, and that love will stay with me forever.
I want to thank all my family and friends who’ve stepped up and helped me through so many big, busy events over the years — I couldn’t have done it without you.
And a special thank you to Crystal. The two of us were a team that was tough to beat — a lot of other trucks had three to five people doing what we managed to pull off with just the two of us. I couldn’t have asked for a better teammate through it all. She plans to be there for that final event too, ready to see all those familiar smiling faces one more time. ❤️
