This is what community looks like at EatWell Cafe!
Tomorrow's Green Gazpacho on the menu is made from cucumbers harvested by our friends from Bittersweet Farms from the fields at Hoen's Garden Center, then prepped with help from our friends from Assured Health Services.

From the field to the kitchen, so many hands come together to make this happen!! ❣

Come try it tomorrow! And with so many great cucumbers in season, we're also whipping up a refreshing cucumber lemon water to help you beat the heat. 🥒🍋

Honoring Dra. Sarah Tovah Taub

Today, the EatWell Cafe team is remembering a dear friend, Dra. Sarah Taub.

There are not enough words to describe what she meant to us. Sarah was part of our journey before EatWell Cafe even existed. She believed in the mission from the very beginning and never stopped showing up for it.

When the café opened, Sarah came to volunteer and always showed up with a smile. She took great joy in serving our guests and always felt there was never enough food on their plates!

Her belief in healthy food as a path to dignity and equity was something she lived, not just talked about. Sarah's Bowl on our menu was inspired by her vision, and the community table dedicated to her will continue to gather neighbors, friends, and strangers around good food, just as she envisioned.

We will miss her deeply, but inspired by her strength and compassion, the EatWell Cafe team will continue smiling like she did.

Her legacy is forever with us.

Our heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones.

We’re honored to share that EatWell Cafe has been awarded an $18,000 grant from the Oswald Supporting Organization of the Greater Toledo Community Foundation! 🎉

This funding will help support our mission of serving healthy, nourishing meals through our pay-what-you-can model — ensuring everyone in our community has access to food with dignity, connection, and care. ❤️

Located inside the Main Library in downtown Toledo, EatWell Cafe continues to grow because of supporters, partners, volunteers, and guests like YOU.
