Join us in saying congrats to Kenzi White for earning our May Employee of the Month! 🎉🎉

Kenzi joined us at the end of the 2025 season and quickly proved herself to be an outstanding member of the G Crew. Returning this year with more confidence than ever, she completed her training in no time and has become one of our go-to openers. She’s always early, ready to work, eager to learn, and consistently goes above and beyond without needing to be asked. For just 15 years old, Kenzi's attention to detail, strong work ethic, and dedication to keeping the barn looking its best continually impress us. She’s kind-hearted, dependable, and always willing to help a teammate, incoming trainee, and customers alike.

When she's not busy knocking out prep work or earning her title as our official Chili Queen👑 this season, you can usually find her making everyone laugh with her silly faces and dance moves in-between customer orders.😜💃😂

We are very excited and incredibly grateful to have Kenzi on our staff again this season and this is very well-deserved! Thanks for all you do and what you bring to the G Crew Kenz! 🩷🍦💙

We have some exciting news to share with you all, and honestly, we’re still soaking it all in…🤩

The annual Toledo Blade Best of Toledo Readers Choice Awards results are officially in, and because of YOU, Mr. G’s Barn was voted 🥇 #1 Ice Cream in Toledo this year! 🎉🙌🏼

Every single vote, share, kind word, and visit helped make this possible. We’ve been honored over the years to place among the top finalists, but to finally take home 1st place means more to us than we could ever put into words.

The Toledo Blade said this was their biggest voting year yet, which makes this recognition even more incredible. Knowing how much this community loves and supports our little barn truly means the world to us. What started as serving ice cream has grown into something so much bigger — memories, traditions, families, friendships, and a community we are endlessly grateful for.

Thank you for showing up for us year after year. Thank you for supporting local. Thank you for believing in us. And thank you for making Mr. G’s Barn such a special place to so many people.

We also want to thank everyone at the Toledo Blade and Sashem Brey for such an awesome awards party this year.🎉

Everyone say congrats to Makayla Lucio for becoming our April Employee of the Month! 🎉
Makayla was hired at the beginning of our 2026 season with a reference we couldn’t turn down from one of our favorite places, Ventura's Mexican Restaurant💗. Upon interviewing her, I knew she would make a great fit for our crew, and she showed it right away. Makayla has great communication and customer service skills. She picks things up so quickly, you can tell its second nature to her. She’s always curious and wanting to learn more. Her helpfulness from day-one has made the job easier for others around her, and we appreciate her enthusiasm and willingness. She helps cover where she can, does opens and closes, and stays fun and bubbly even after a long shift. Makayla is always ready for any position and to help out wherever she’s needed, and likely figures it out without being asked. Her confidence in each position is outstanding, as it's only two months in, and she will already jump into helping other crewmates get through their training as well. We're happy to have Makayla on staff this season as she continuously shows exemplary traits of what it means to be an awesome member of the G Crew! We are grateful to have you with us this season, Makayla Lucio. Thanks for all you do and what you bring to our 2026 G Crew! 💙🍦💗

Happy Monday G Fans!
For this week we will have our White Chocolate Mousse Frozen Yogurt. Try this on its own or twisted with Vanilla. This flavor makes for an amazing Oreo milkshake or cyclone, as the flavor almost resembles the frosting from inside the Oreo. This flavor would also be good used in our s'more sundae, or with any chocolatey toppings, peanut butter, raspberry, or even cherry. The possibilities are endless!
This flavor does contain dairy and is not fat-free, but it is lower in fat and is super delicious. Come try it out while its here! 😋🍦
