It's been a wild couple of months. We have been back open and things are on the upswing! Sales are up and we have y'all to thank!

We do need to lean into our network a bit. We are in search of someone who would like to serve 2-3 shifts per week. Sundays (we get slammed) and Thursdays are the biggest need. If you are interested or know someone interested please send me a DM with your phone number and I will reach out. ASAP!

Wow!!! Yall showed up the past two days! Thank you so much for everyone being patient and supporting us! Ticket times went a little long but i saw a lot of full bellies walking out! We are gonna just keep getting more efficient and are so excited to be serving yall again. Those of you that stay supporting us but couldn’t make it so far, dont worry youll get your chance!

Whew!!! What a wild month. You guys have been so patient with us as we try to get things not only open but open in a sustainable way. So… here’s the updates that I’ve got for yall so far.

-Pricing wise we were on the lower end of our competitors so we will need to adjust some of our pricing.

-Our menu had a lot of items that didn’t really sell and caused us to have a lot of product that was waste.

-The identity of our menu versus our competitors is something that was lacking. If you are coming here for bacon. Why? We need to have a voice for you folks to subscribe to. 

All of these things are essential to have you enjoy our little cafe for years to come.

Being a small locally owned business is difficult. 2025 proved to be hard for so many people in our lives. We are 12 days into January and we don’t want to give up. I’ve heard it said that LUCK is the meeting of preparation and skill. So… let’s get lucky!

Theres a lot of back and forth on what’s happening. Please allow me to be transparent and explain what’s going on. I don’t love airing personal stuff but I feel like this is the only way to relay the information so that it doesn’t hurt us as a business going forward. My name is Mike. Lauren and I went into this venture together. We quickly separated romantically after that. Over the past year and change the profits weren’t where they needed to be and the numbers weren’t working. I became involved again last week and realized I needed to comb thru the numbers without incurring more debt in the process. We are closing this week to do just that. Look at the numbers and figure out what (if anything) we can do to save Marigold and the jobs of the employees there.

The narrative of employees not having a job weeks before Christmas is not how I want to operate. but, right now that is truth. I want to fix this. As a man who only has his word, I want to prove I am every bit of the person I think I am. I want for all of the people that have given blood sweat and tears to this business to be made whole. Feel peace in their hearts. Have food for their bellies. Money in their wallets.

We are closed for the week. We are going to assess the numbers and go forward as best we can. Please be patient with us. Again, I am sorry for the confusion and want to solve this ASAP. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. 419-265-6453 is my personal cell.
