👉Prepare to be confused by the obsession with seasons.
People genuinely look forward to fall. They decorate for it, plan weekends around it, and will casually tell you the exact week the leaves peak. Floridians are used to “hot” and “less hot.” Ohio gives you four very specific vibes...and everyone has a favorite.
👉Another strange adjustment? Ohio time.
Not the clock…the pacing. People aren’t in a rush for everything. Conversations last longer. Cashiers chat.  Someone might hold the door and then keep holding it… from way too far away. At first it feels awkward. Then you realize it’s kind of nice.
👉And the grass. No one prepares you for the grass.
It’s thick, cool, and weirdly soft…like your yard is secretly a luxury rug. You’ll find yourself walking barefoot without thinking, questioning everything you knew about lawns in Florida. Add in fireflies at night and kids playing outside until dark, and suddenly this part makes a lot more sense.
