Peach ice cream swirled with oatmeal streusel
⭐️
If you’ve been into the shop recently you may have noticed the trays of fresh peaches. Come visit again for the finished product!
⭐️
This was a labor of love. The peaches were peeled and diced, macerated to extract the juices, then roasted to concentrate the flavor. The peach juice was reduced into a peach syrup, then the roasted peaches were pureed. The syrup was cooked in the custard and the peach puree was added just before freezing. As we dispensed the ice cream into pans we added grated frozen fresh peach pieced and a crumble of house made oatmeal streusel. The journey was well worth it.
