Carolyn's Country Kitchen

Carolyn's Country Kitchen “When you eat at Carolyn’s its like going home.” Two years later, she sold the Black Knight and moved to Toccoa.

Carolyn’s Country Kitchen is a family owned and operated restaurant that has been serving Toccoa’s best country cooking since opening in 1994. Carolyn Holland has more than four decades of experience in the food service industry and those who eat at “Carolyn’s Kitchen” know first-hand what that experience means…excellent food. In 1974 Carolyn purchased and opened her first restaurant in her hometo

wn of Robbinsville, NC called the “Black Knight Drive-In” which bore the name of the local high school mascot. It was here that Carolyn helped open a home style restaurant, the “Happy Flounder” with a local businessman. She then went to work at the local “Long John Silver’s” in the evening while working at “Pizza Hut” during the day. She remained at Long John Silver’s for the next ten years with the last several years being the manager. This led to the opening of “Carolyn’s Country Kitchen” in 1994 which was originally located on Currahee Street for more than five years. In 2001 she moved to her current location on Stephens Circle behind Tractor Supply and will remain here for many years to come! Carolyn’s features cooking like mama used to make. The menu changes daily with a choice of five meats, around 10 vegetables and an array of homemade desserts, including cakes, pies, cobblers, and pudding. Carolyn enjoys the daily interaction with her customers and friends and appreciates the business of her loyal customers.
