Cali is a beautiful 11-year-old calico lady who is ready for the next chapter of her life. She may be a senior, but she still has so much love and companionship to give. She has that classic calico beauty, an adorably serious little face, and seems perfectly content finding a comfy spot where she can relax and take everything in.

We just want to say THANK YOU. ā¤ļø

We are getting closer and closer to our fundraising goal, and we truly cannot express how grateful we are for every single person who has donated, shared our posts, stopped by the cafe, or helped spread the word about Bajahā€™s Rescue.

And this week is a BIG oneā€¦ weā€™re officially starting to build the wall! šŸ„¹šŸ¾

Iā€™ll be sharing updated pictures as we get started, and it finally feels like weā€™re watching this dream become a reality. Things are moving in the right direction, and we are SO excited!

We still have a little ways to go to reach our goal, though, and we really donā€™t want to lose the amazing momentum weā€™ve built. Even if you arenā€™t able to donate, PLEASE keep sharing. Every share gets our fundraiser in front of someone new who may want to be part of what weā€™re building for these cats.

Someone recently asked me where the name Bajahā€™s came from, and it made me realize that a lot of people probably donā€™t know the story.

This is Bajah.

Years ago, when I was living in Maine, I knew a Penobscot man and his sister. His sister gave me the name Bajah, and I was told it meant love and happiness. I loved the name immediately, and it couldnā€™t have ended up belonging to a more perfect soul.

Bajah was one of the greatest loves of my life.
He left me in August 2015, and even after all these years, I can honestly say I have never found a love quite like the love I had for him. Just please donā€™t ever tell my other cats I said that.

When it came time to name the cat cafe, there really wasnā€™t another name that could have meant as much to me. Bajah never got to see any of this. He was gone years before this crazy dream became a reality. But somehow, his name became part of something much bigger than I ever could have imagined.

Every person who walks through the doors of Bajahā€™s Cat Cafe says his name. Every cat weā€™ve helped, every adoption, and every life weā€™ve been able to change has happened under his name.
He left me long before this journey started, but in a way, heā€™s been here for all of it.

Thatā€™s Bajah.

And thatā€™s where Bajahā€™s began. ā¤ļø

Okay Fall River area friendsā€¦ I need to know who remembers these! šŸ‘€

If you ever went to China Royal back in the day, PLEASE tell me you remember the little colorful crispy things they used to give you. I swear I remember getting them with the Pu Pu Platter.

They were pink, yellow, white, greenā€¦ super light, airy and crispy, and I have randomly thought about them for YEARS without knowing what they were called.

Well, mystery solved.

SHRIMP CHIPS. šŸ˜‚

Apparently they start out as tiny little hard colorful pieces, and as soon as you drop them in hot oil they puff up into those giant airy crackers.

Now I need to knowā€¦

Who remembers eating these at China Royal?!

And more importantly, does ANYWHERE around Fall River/Tiverton still serve them like this??

Please tell me I'm not the only one who remembers these. šŸ˜‚
