I’ve been pondering, putting off and dreading this post for days. Mostly because it’s not one I wanted to do, it makes me sad even though it is well deserved. This is not a post that I take lightly, and I’m not normally one to be at a loss for words, but finding the right words has been difficult for me.
Today was Jo’s last day with us! She is officially retiring. I don’t blame her one bit and I am so happy for her John to be able to spend more time together and have more time with their family!
She is going to be greatly missed by all of us, and I know many of you will miss her too. She has been an absolute joy to work with and I can only hope to have 1/2 the energy she does when I am at her age.
I am a firm believer that God put her in my life for a reason. She has seen me through some tough times, and prayed her heart out for me when I needed it most! HE gave her to me for 11 wonderful years that I will forever cherish! She is not only a great employee, but a wonderful friend. I have fired her in my head about every day for the last 11 years (just a running joke amongst us) but the truth is I would not have been able to do this without her love, support, prayers, hard work and dedication to us! She has bailed me out more times than not, and I will never be able to repay her for all she’s done. She is dependable, hard working, honest, loyal, and an all around beautiful woman!
We have been truly blessed to have her not only as part of our team, but part of our family!
Thank you, Ms. Josephine (my nickname for her), for being a constant source of inspiration and a treasured gem to our team, and thank you for agreeing to come in and hang out with us a couple days a week to make the best sausage gravy around!
You are so loved and will be so very much missed!
