🇺🇸 Hope everyone had an incredible 4th of July and a very happy 250th Birthday, America! 🎆🎈

I hope your weekend was filled with family, friends, great food, and plenty of fireworks!

Here's a fun fact that a lot of people don't know about me... I'm a hot air balloon pilot! 🎈

To celebrate America's 250th birthday, I even commissioned a special patriotic banner for my balloon. I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate this incredible country than taking to the beautiful Texas skies.

Happy 250th, USA! Here's to the next 250 years of freedom, adventure, and making memories. ❤️🤍💙

One thing we've learned while restoring a building that's over 100 years old... expect the unexpected!

When the station was originally built, it was never designed to handle a whole town's worth of people. The existing bathrooms and back facilities simply weren't large enough for everything we have planned at Station 1909.

Then came the ice storm.

In what can only be described as Mother Nature getting a little ahead of schedule, the storm took down the old structure behind the station and conveniently handled the demolition for us. While it wasn't exactly how we planned it, it gave us the opportunity to start fresh.

Now we're rebuilding that entire space into something even better. It will house our new restroom facilities along with a private party room that will be available to rent for birthdays, reunions, celebrations, corporate events, and more.

Sometimes the best projects come from unexpected setbacks. The ice storm may have jumped the gun on demolition, but in the end, it all worked out for the best. We can't wait to show you what's coming next at Station 1909!

P.S. For everyone who's been asking, Re*****on the station cat is still on the job. His current responsibilities include supervising construction, demanding treats, and making sure every visitor stops to say hello and give him scratches.

Some places don’t lose their soul just because they change locations. ❤️

This old station may have been moved from her original home beside the tracks, but she is still deeply tied to the railroad and the history of the area. On quiet mornings like this, when the fog rolls over the lake and the train passes behind the station, it feels like time stands still for just a moment.

There’s something magical about watching the past and present meet in the same view. The sound of the train, the still water, the early morning light… it’s a reminder that some stories never stop moving.

We are so honored to be giving this beautiful old depot new life and spirit while preserving what makes her special. 🚂✨

The first of our tabletops are DONE… and just look at them 😍🔥

I am completely in love with how these turned out. Huge thank you to Cedar Depot for bringing this vision to life and absolutely delivering. The craftsmanship, the character, the detail… it’s everything we hoped for and more.

We are getting closer and closer to opening our doors, and we cannot wait to have you all in, drink in hand, enjoying good company and live music 🎶

Trust me… it’s going to be worth the wait. 🍻

The glow-up continues ✨

Now it’s the indoor bar’s turn… and let me tell you, that fresh coat of epoxy is bringing it to life in the best way. Watching this place come together piece by piece has us thinking… this bar is about to hold a whole lot of firsts.

Meet Marley 🐾
Our on-site dog manager takes her job very seriously… someone has to keep all these workers in line 😉
If you swing by the station, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll spot Marley posted up on top of her work truck, overseeing every detail and making sure progress is up to her standards. And when she’s not supervising from above, she’s riding shotgun on the skid steer or mower with her human, Craig, making sure no job gets done without her approval.
She may be unofficial… but around here, Marley runs the show.
