Today we remember those from Franklin and Williamson County and thousands more throughout our nation, who gave their lives in service to our country.
We honor the sacrifice of service members like WO1 Judson (Jud) E. Mount and SSG Timothy H. Walker, who were killed in action during the Iraq War, along with the generations of brave men and women before them who never made it home.
Their courage, sacrifice, and legacy will never be forgotten.
This Memorial Day, we pause in gratitude and reflection for the freedoms they fought to protect.
