The Racehorse Tavern is looking for an acoustic opener for the kiss army band this Saturday June 27th. About an hour set from 8:15 to around 9:15 -9:30. Perferably someone to play some 80's and 90's era music to compliment the Kiss era Music as well.

We are aware of another group using the name Pennsylvania Tavern Association, a name that our Association has had in place since 1941.

To make it clear, the Pennsylvania Tavern Association has not taken a position on any specific skill games legislation including Senate Bill 1079 and House Bill 2213. And, the Pennsylvania Tavern Association is not a part of any rally this week being coordated by distributors and manufacturers of skill games.

Our lobbying team has a seat at the table for this issue, regularly meets with key legislators and other key lobbying groups on skill games, and is actively engaged at the state capital. In addition, we've often been asked to testify on the issue.

It's regretful that another organization which is not sponsored by the bar industry and whose president is not even a tavern owner is using a strikingly similar name as ours, and thus causing confusion at the state capital and within the bar industry.

Ok folks our first of the year bring your own pool party is right around the corner. The first one is Sunday July 12th with a rain date of July 19th. We have Six Whiskey Revival kicking it off at 12:30 and Anchor Down Crab House will supply some KICK ASS seafood options CRABS AND BOILS. We will have the water truck here by 11 am to fill the pools. If you dont have one but want to have your pool day you may rent one for the day for $20 and the money will go to a charitable organization TBA soon. The Creekside bar will be open selling alot of your favorite beverages. We will have our 2nd on August 9th with a 16th rain date with Stonewood kicking that one off. These are do much fun and you really dont want to miss these. Mark your calendars.

Saturday July 25th AT THE Racehorse Tavern Tavern it's "EMILY'S TOYBOX"
Add one part irreverent punk personality (frontman extraordinaire, Mike Wise), one part maniacal guitarist (Brandon Reece), two parts dream rhythm section (Rick Lienhard and M**f) and what do you get? One hell of a rock and roll ass-whoopin' you won't soon forget!
Emily's ToyBox cannot (even remotely) be compared to any other independent band on the east coast. In addition to a genuinely unique and powerful stage presence, they have sold more CDs and merchandise during their career than any other independent band in the extended area. However, unlike other bands making similar "claims", this band actually has the tax and sales records to prove it.
Mike Wise, ETB's lead singer and chief songwriter, formed the group in 1997, conceiving it as a pre-fab project that would only be around long enough to pay off bills from his previous band. Formerly a 3-piece, ETB went on to an illustrious career, quickly working their way out of their day jobs, making rounds on the extended Mid-Atlantic circuits, venturing as far as Illinois, Vermont and Florida, playing a thick catalog of in-the-red originals. Hard work and dedication have never been lacking from the Emily’s ToyBox psyche.
In 2001, Emily's ToyBox underwent an evolution of sorts that morphed an already powerful regional act into something unbelievably bigger and better. As a four-piece band, Wise gained freedom to roam the stage and audience at will, inciting a kind of enthusiasm not far from mania that leaves the fans drenched, exhausted and always coming back for more.
"We're different," says Wise. "Many bands have said, 'Well, my band's different.' We're one of the few bands who really ARE different." "The four of us are naturally goofballs, but we honestly respect one another as musicians and people. We also don't 'try' to do or be anything other than ourselves. Our personality comes out onstage and in our songs."
Emily's ToyBox is of the rarest breed, continually breaking new ground as an entrepreneurial entity on the independent music scene. With undeniable originality, talent and work ethic, there are no limits to what they will create and accomplish in years to come.
