After 19 years, this is something we never thought we’d have to say… Mona Lisa Ristorante will be closing.
For Abbas, this place has been everything. He’s been in this building for over 25 years. He came to this country as a teenager, started as a dishwasher, taught himself English, and worked his way up to opening Mona Lisa in 2007. This restaurant wasn’t just a business to him, it was his life.
So many of you watched it grow. You celebrated birthdays here, picked up dinner after long days, brought your kids in who grew up coming here. Some of you have been coming since the very beginning, and that means more than we can ever put into words.
This decision didn’t come easy. It’s emotional for all of us.
We just want to say thank you. Truly. For the support, the loyalty, the conversations, the memories — all of it. You made Mona Lisa what it is.
This place will always mean something special, not just to us, but to this community.
