Nestled in the quaint, charming town of The Plains, VA - come share our love of food, wine & hospitality with fresh, local, seasonal offerings and craft cocktails. The Front Porch Market & Grill is a "recycled" 100-plus year old building that served as a rest station for railroad employees and has been revitalized (2015) as a restaurant and market. All of the new applianc

es and equipment upgrades are energy efficient and paint and other materials used were compliant with conservation recommendations. The Baltimore-Washington DC architectural firm of AlterUrban was selected because of its ability to redesign older structures into modern use and maintain historical elements and original character. As a restaurant, we are devoted to using sustainable foods and promote local economic development through rural-urban partnerships.
