How’s it going in The Dalles?” D’Avanzo’s - The Dalles
It’s the question I get asked most, and our Goldendale team hears it often, too! So I wanted to share a little update. ❤️
We officially opened our 2nd location on September 1st, and after just about a month, I’m happy to say it’s going amazing! There have been many long days, plenty of obstacles, and so much learning along the way. There have also been so many happy guests and moments that remind us why we love what we do.
What brings me the most joy is being able to provide jobs for more than 35 people across our businesses. Each person brings something different to our team, with different experiences, talents, and walks of life. Many bring years of experience right here in The Dalles, and we feel grateful and blessed that they chose to work with us.
I’m incredibly proud of our Goldendale teams at D’Avanzo’s and Crush Smoothie & Juice Bar. They’ve kept things running without a general manager and with me mostly checking in each morning while I spend so much time in The Dalles. They continue to provide great customer service and quality food for our Goldendale community. Their teamwork, dedication, and willingness to take responsibility mean so much to me.
One of my favorite things to hear during employee check-ins is, “This is my dream job,” or “I love working here.” Knowing our crew is happy to come to work and shares our passion means so much.
That passion shows in every part of your visit, from the welcome at the host stand, to the care our servers give, to the cooks who take pride in how every dish tastes and looks. Our prep crew works hard all morning, and we spend hours slicing, chopping, and preparing ingredients by hand so you can taste the difference.
We’ve also been busy catering throughout the Gorge, and we’re excited to help so many happy couples bring their wedding day together!
Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and for choosing to spend time around our tables. To our teams and our communities: we couldn’t do this without you. We’re looking forward to a wonderful holiday season and all that’s ahead! ❤️
