Hey y'all, just wanted to let you know about a new pizza parlor in the Legacy Plano hood. Olivella's is named for the family in Italy that shared their recipes and dough with the American owners that brought it to Texas. They do a "Roman style" pizza pie that is very, very thin crust that is incredibly both crispy and chewy and not dried out or soggy. I have never experienced this before! I have ALWAYS been disappointed by so-called "cracker bread" style thin crust. It's always been dry like a saltine cracker or completely soggy from the sauce like a wet noodle. This crust is just a little crispy on the bottom and around the edges and soft and chewy everywhere else and is so light it melts in your mouth. It's the perfect ratio of bread to toppings that I've experienced with a pizza pie. They also do traditional Neopolitan style crust which is thicker and also excellent. AND they make their own mozzarella cheese fresh every day. If you've never experienced homemade mozzarella cheese made the same day, you are in for a treat. It's like the difference between day old pizza and pizza right from the oven. The texture and flavor is incredible. It also just melts in your mouth like chocolate. Try it out as soon as possible. Hey y'all, we've been approached about selling steak burgers at the new Frisco farmer's market opening up next year on Main Street next to the Toyota soccer stadium and we're looking for "steakholders"!

We would be selling a Steak Burger, grinding up Chuck Steak daily into 1/4 lb patties and slicing up fresh Ribeye for a Steak Sandwich. Grilling that fresh ground Steak Burger lickety split over an open flame and serving it on a house baked Sourdough Bun that you prepare at the condiment bar any way you like. We would be topping that patty with a gooey ladel of white and yellow American Melting Cheese (the real stuff) or our own recipe of extra thick Jalapeno Queso (which is incidentally made from that same American melting cheese).

A Texas Cheesesteak Sandwich would be served with fresh sliced Ribeye, Grilled Onions and Jalapeno Queso, or Philly style with American Melting Cheese.

Also on the menu, of course, Fresh Cut Fries and an old fashion soda fountain turning out Frozen Custard Shakes, Chocolate Sodas, Egg Creams, Black, Brown and White Cows and more delights.

That's about it! Small menu = super quick service! AND if the interest is there, we will be offering the opportunity to be a STEAKHOLDER in the business.

We will put together a real, bonafide, lawyered up private equity offering for any qualified investors that want to come along for the ride, whether we do just one store or a chain of them.

Hey y'all, we have some good news and some bad news. Dad (a/k/a Big Papi) and I will be ending service at Papi's Red Hots on February 14th at 3:00 pm for good. However, we can't leave behind an empty building for y'all to stare at, especially because everyone in town has been so good to us, so a good friend of ours and a local legend in the food business who you've probably seen on TV is going to come in and knock your socks off with a menu that is desperately needed in The Colony- quick, affordable and made from scratch. That's all I'm allowed to say right now! The same friendly faces will greet you on the line with the same Southern hospitality when you walk through the door. You'll be hooked for sure. We want to thank all of our wonderful new friends that we made while having the pleasure to serve you as our guests. It's been an honor. Come on out and see us one last time!
