Established 1902. For over 50 years there was dining, dancing, weddings, celebrations, and joy.

Mayer's Parkway Restaurant was started in 1902 by the two Mayer brothers. After prohibition Mayer's was reopened by the next generation of Mayer brothers and through-out Mayer's existence it was a family business, everyone started as young teens, starting at the bottom and learning the business from the ground up. Today the building might be gone, but it is a part of our family history. Our page a

"hi this photo was taken September 1949 at Mayers at the occassion of my grandparents (George and Celia McFadden) 25th wedding anniversary. Seated left to right: Marion McFadden, Pat McFadden, Kathleen McKevitt, Kathleen McFadden, Jack McFadden, George McFadden Sr, Celia McFadden and George McFadden. The younger George was my father and he and his brother Jack were also waiters at Mayers - they had great stories about the place."
