After 30 incredible years serving the Bronx community from our home in City Island, Arties Steak & Seafood will be closing its doors on Sunday, September 28th.
Since the early 1990s, under the leadership of chef-owner and operator Spiros Chagares, Arties has been proud to welcome generations of guests — neighbors, families, friends, and visitors from near and far — sharing our passion for great food, warm hospitality, and unforgettable celebrations.
This decision did not come lightly, but the time has come to turn the page. We are deeply grateful to our loyal guests, dedicated staff — past and present — and the community that has supported us over three decades. Arties has always been more than a restaurant; it has been a gathering place where memories were made, milestones honored, and traditions created.
Thank you for making Arties Steak & Seafood part of your lives. We will always cherish the role we played in this extraordinary community and invite you to celebrate with us in the weeks to come ahead of our closing (and Spiros’ retirement) on September 28th.
