Happy Friday evening, y’all! ❤️ We spent the day doing yard work and getting the barn prepped while the kids played in the mud and had a blast with water on the trampoline. We were without power all day, but maybe it was a blessing in disguise! Sometimes the best days are the unplanned ones. Hope y’all have a blessed evening!

We also uncovered a baby snake no snakes were harmed today In Fact my daughter tried keeping it

One of the things that matters most to me is remembering that we’re called to love and serve others. ❤️

As we get closer to Thanksgiving, there are people right here in our community who could use a little extra help and kindness. If you’re able, please consider donating or sharing this post to help spread the word.

Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference in someone’s life. We rise by lifting others, and I’m thankful to be part of a community that can come together to help those in need. ❤️

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

We need you help with donations to provide our annual Thanksgiving Day lunch to area homeless and less fortunate!

Please see the list of needs below.

If you plan to donate any Thanksgiving meal items, please call Lori at 903-792-7024 and let her know. Donations can be dropped off 24/7 at the shelter at 402 Oak Street. Monetary donations can be made via the Facebook post link, flier QR code, or via check to 803 Spruce St., Txk TX.

We appreciate your help to meet the needs of the homeless this holiday and winter season.

Thanking the Lord for another day and all the little blessings that come with it. Today is extra special because it’s my little sister’s birthday! 🥰🎂 I hope she has a wonderful day filled with love and happiness.

Praying y’all have a blessed Friday and a beautiful weekend ahead!

If you could have ANY homemade baked good fresh out of the oven this morning, what would you choose? 🍞🍪

Warm cinnamon rolls, fresh sourdough bread, chocolate chip cookies, or something else?

Tell me in the comments! And share this with someone who loves homemade goodies! ❤️

Good Thursday morning, y’all! ❤️

Around here, there’s always something to do and something new to learn. We’re taking things one day at a time as we work toward our little homestead and teach our kids along the way.

“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” — Galatians 6:9

What’s everyone up to today? Tell me what you’ve got going on this Thursday!

Texas heat is no joke when you’re trying to get things done outside! 🥵

This afternoon, we’re working on cleaning up the yard and getting things ready for the animals we’re hoping to bring home soon. Little by little, we’re making progress on this homestead dream of ours!

For those of y’all who have animals, what’s one thing you recommend getting ready before bringing them home? I’d love to hear your advice! 🤎

Good Wednesday morning, y’all! ❤️

There’s something special about the little blessings we sometimes overlook in the busyness of everyday life. A home filled with love, our children’s laughter, food on the table, and another morning to spend with the people we love. These are the things that make life rich, and I never want to take them for granted.

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” — Psalm 103:2 🙏

I hope y’all have a blessed Wednesday! Tell me something good happening in your life this week. ❤️

I’ve been thinking more and more about getting back to the basics and learning to do more things for ourselves. 🌱

Growing food, preserving what we can, making things from scratch, and being more intentional about what we bring into our homes.

We’re not a big homestead, and I definitely don’t have it all figured out, but there’s something special about learning these things and teaching our children along the way.

For those of y’all who homestead, garden, raise animals, or are just getting started like me, what’s ONE thing you think every beginner should learn first?

I’m ready to learn from y’all!

One thing I love about homeschooling is that learning doesn’t have to stop when the books are closed.

It happens in the kitchen, outside, while we’re cooking, working with our hands, reading together, and having those conversations that turn into lessons all on their own.

Some days go smoothly, and other days look nothing like the plan. That’s just part of being a mom and teaching your children at the same time!

Homeschool moms, what is your favorite part of homeschooling? And be honest… what’s the hardest part for you? ❤️

Good Tuesday morning! ❤️

Another day God has blessed us with, another chance to slow down, love our families, and be thankful for the little things we sometimes take for granted.

Life doesn’t have to be perfect for us to find something to be thankful for. Sometimes the biggest blessings are right in front of us in the middle of our everyday routines.

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

What is one thing you’re thankful for this morning? I’d love to hear from y’all! ❤️
