To all of my valued supporters, customers, friends, and family:
I want to share an important update regarding The Jamaican Jerk Pit.
After speaking with local inspectors , I have been informed that I can no longer operate by selling prepared food from my tent setup. At this time, I am only permitted to serve at approved festivals, fairs, and special events until I complete the next phase of my business development.
While the circumstances that led to this situation are unfortunate, I understand that success often attracts both supporters and haters. Rather than allowing negativity to distract me, I have chosen to focus my energy on growth, compliance, and building an even stronger business.
I am currently moving forward with a search and purchase of a food truck and completing all necessary permits, licenses, and requirements to ensure everything is done properly. At the present moment, my LLC and business paperwork remain active, documented, and in good standing.
To everyone who has supported me, shared my posts, recommended my food, left reviews, and stood in line week after week, thank you. Your loyalty and encouragement have proven that authentic Jamaican food is welcomed and appreciated in Texarkana. The response from this community has been incredible, and I am deeply grateful.
To those who felt it necessary to create obstacles along the way, I sincerely thank you as well. You have provided additional motivation to elevate my business to the next level. Challenges don’t stop determined people; they strengthen them.
For the time being, I will not be serving food on Saturdays until my food truck arrives and all required licensing and approvals have been completed. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience during this transition.
This is not a setback; it is a setup for something greater. I look forward to returning bigger, better, with a fully licensed food truck and ready to serve the community that has shown me so much love.
