To all the customers of Twisted Sisters Diner. This is Jackie. Please say a prayer for my family as we go through the tragic loss of my only son Brandon Scott Rice.

Brandon Scott Rice, 33, was born on July 11, 1990 in Millington, TN. He was a beloved Son, Father, Grandson & Brother. He loved playing with his son Axel Rice most of all. He loved Football & Guitars. He was loved by many, his mother, Jacqueline Larey of Texarkana, his father and step mother Barry & Trish Rice of Virginia, his sister Rachel Rice of Texarkana, his Nanny & Papaw June & Jackie Larey of Texarkana. Those that know the Larey family and Brandon knew the special bond he had with his Nanny. He hung the moon for her and she for him. Brandon also loved and was loved by Joelene Williams, a special friend from Marblehead MA. He has many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will miss him as well. The family will receive visitors at the Texarkana Funeral Home on Texas Blvd on Tuesday, October 17 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

I have a catering job to do in a couple of weeks and will be preparing Grab n Go Meals for anyone that might be interested. I will post the menu, dates and cost soon. I know Meatloaf, Chicken & Dressing and Chicken & Dumplings will be some of the options. More to come.....

Did yall know when we opened the diner we were paying 1.99 per pound for Ground Beef.... when we ended it we were paying 3.20 per pound..... that's just for ground beef... everything else rose at the same percentages across the board.... I kept our prices the same and rode it out... we were fine.. our customers gave us all the support we needed to survive. What I didn't have was enough help. Oftentimes it fell on my shoulders 100% and these shoulders are tired 🤣🤣 we still in the game but having a custom Built food trailer to reduce our overhead and make it more manageable. Yes I am still in contact with Racetrac Truck Stop exploring the possibility of being inside as a restaurant or having our food trailer set in the parking lot. So hang in there. I'm working daily to get this back to cooking some great food for y'all!!!! Liberty Eylau we love you!!!!!!

While we are still looking for a Food Truck to transition to I wanted to take a moment to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone that has reached out with support and words of encouragement here lately. To those that see us out and about and stop us to let us know how much you miss us and praise our cooking, it TRULY warms my heart and puts me into overdrive to find a Food Truck/Trailer that will fit our needs and allow us to serve you the same great food!!!! Hopefully at lower prices since our OVERHEAD will be lower. Hang in there with us!!!! Rome wasn't built in a day ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Happy Monday!!!!! I'm working on our Holiday catering menu!!! Everyone has been asking about Dressing and sides and Desserts!! I will get the full available menu posted this week.

Please stay cool and hydrated in this heat. Do not go outdoors unless you absolutely cannot avoid it!! Please check on your elders!! Keep your pets indoors if possible. If they HAVE to be outside Please make sure they have water and a sprinkler if possible. Keep their paws off the concrete as they can suffer serious burns to their pads!!!

Also remember there is a BURN BAN. Please do not think your BBQ grill embers are harmless. They are not. They can float through the air and ignite upon landing. They can ignite a tree.... they can land on the roof of a house and spark a life changing situation. Be smart. Be safe.
