Blueberries and Cream Ice Cream

2 cups fresh blueberries
3/4 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

In a heavy saucepan, combine the fresh berries, water, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Reduce to simmer for about one minute.vRemive from heat and let stand gor about 30 minutes to cool.

Transfer the blueberry mixture to a food processor and process until smooth or about one minute. Strain, cover, and refrigerate until chilled thoroughly.

Add the Cream and lemon juice to the blueberry puree and stir to combine.

Pour into an ice cream maker and freeze according to instructions. Transfer to a freezer safe container and freeze until firm.
