We're open and ready for you!

This September 11th marks 25 years since a day that changed all of us.

In remembrance of the lives lost, the courage shown, and the extraordinary way people cared for one another in the days that followed, Porters at The Birchwood Inn will donate $250, as well as $5 from every entrée served today to our own first responders, the Temple Volunteer Fire Department.

No donation is being asked of our guests.

Simply join us for dinner, and we'll take care of the giving. It’s a win-win!

May we always remember how much we are capable of doing for one another, and in the words of Margaret Mead “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

What will your good deed be for today?

Change is afoot!

One thing our customers have taught us is that you like CHANGE.... in your dining choices, anyway ... for some people change is a four letter word! If you have dined with us, you know Nellie switches up the specials just about every day, and we keep our "regular" menu a little light for this reason....

Happy Labor Day weekend!

Happy Sunday!

Sited in beautiful downtown Temple NH, The Birchwood Inn offers comfort food, a full bar and lodging for travelers. The quintessential New England setting offers a step back in time, with charming period details, including a dining room with murals by Rufus Porter.

We can't decide! Help us out!

Soooo many options ....

One of the things I really enjoy when visiting restaurants is having so many choices it's hard to decide. If I were a patron of Porters I might have to visit more than once this week! We're pretty booked tonight, but don't worry, Nellie promised some of these amazing specials will be available tomorrow too, and we still have a few tables for Thursday left!
