Disco Swell is a women owned small biz & all River Hats are handmade here in Disco Swell’s Telluride hat shop. Designed for the elements. Durable as hell, squish em’ car camping, get em’ wet - all good! We hope the River hats bring you many good times. Hats UPF 50+.

Caitlin, Disco Swell’s owner connected with Hailey, Coffee Cowboy’s owner in 2023 to have Hailey photograph one of Disco Swell’s first shoots in Telluride. Hailey studied film and it was so fun to collaborate creatively on this “still summer” shoot.

The scene: a General Store-goodies-fueled picnic and river sesh with the girls 🎀 The perfect way to soak up the last bits of summer in hats made for exactly this kind of day. ✨🌊👒

For the love of the craft, DAMN good coffee, the perfect picnic, high country craftsmanship, & staying true to our quality.

River hats are handwoven in Guatemala, handwoven in Telluride. 9-13 strands of Palm Leaf per inch braided and a seam sewn over every braid. Durable as hell. High country craftsmanship.
