JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED THIS POST...
So . . . the landlord cut power to the restaurant (illegally) and thousands of dollars of food were ruined overnight. So the owners of SC&G really can’t afford to open until insurance reimburses them. There is also a HUGE dispute with the landlord who doesn’t want to pay for the damages that were created by the roof leaking during the rainy season two years ago (which ruined a huge portion of the kitchen). The Restaurant owners were forced to pay for the repairs (water damage remediation, electrical, drywall, new water heater, labor etc. to keep the business running bc the landlord refused to cover the cost of damages to the building and keep it up to code (or at the very least, operational). In fact there are still areas of the back kitchen that need further repair to maintain the structural integrity of the building. At this point, they want to reopen and they’re trying to make it happen, but everything is in limbo currently.
So there's the tea. Now sip on it.
