Old Virginia Chophouse

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to announce the closing of the Old Virginia Chophouse, effective immediately. This past year has taught me that I am capable of doing anything, but that I couldn’t do very much of anything without the advice and support of friends and family. I have had an abundance of that support and advice, and I am tremendously grateful to the people who have so generously given it without asking for anything in return.

I want to thank the community of Tazewell for welcoming me and for all the wonderful people I have met. One of my favorite things about running a restaurant has been meeting new people, and coming from an introvert, that is saying a lot!

Thank you to everyone in the community who has helped me directly and indirectly . . . you know who you are, there are too many to name.

Thank you to my employees, especially those who have stood with me until the end. If there is anything you ever need, you just have to ask.

Please continue to support all the businesses on Main Street. I personally know how hard each and every one of the business owners has to work every day to make their businesses successful.

This is not good-bye. I’m staying in Tazewell. And I’m very much looking forward to my next adventure.

Sounds like a fun evening. Can’t wait.

The Main Street Merchants are bringing you the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop, once again! Make plans to ring in 2025 on Tazewell’s Main Street. To make for more room (it was a wee bit crowded last year) we are holding the celebration inside of the Old Junior High Gym from 9-12, with the ball drop happening on the corner of Marion & Main at 12am.
This is a free event sponsored by your Main Street small businesses! We will have a DJ, light refreshments with ch*****ne, w**e & b**r available for purchase, and of course, glittering sparkling c***r for the kiddos.

Tonight join us to watch the Tyson fight and then stay and listen to some tunes from Yost Entertainment / DJ SMOKE. We’ll be open till 1:00 am. Next Thursday Jonah Carden will be playing again. You don’t want to miss him. He has an amazing voice.

Tomorrow night we are open late and we’ll have music! Yost Entertainment / DJ SMOKE will be providing the tunes starting at 9:00 pm. We’ll be open until 1:00 am and will have late nite menu. Come and have some fun. This weather is too depressing!!

Join us this Friday starting at 9 pm for ladies night and fight night. Yost Entertainment / DJ SMOKE will be playing great tunes and we’ll have the Paul/Tyson fight on. Late night menu too, and we’ll be open till 1:00. Can’t wait to see you all Friday night. No cover. Spread the word.

Natalie is at Cole Harley-Davidson for the chili cook off as part of their Veteran’s Day event. Stop by and try her chili. We’ll have it at the restaurant too later tonight until it lasts.
