I remember watching my Grandmother (Mrs. Lou Ella) in the kitchen making her world-famous Sweet Potato Pies and the smell it brought to the entire house. When my Grandmother passed, my family nor I were able to enjoy those world-famous Pies. So in honor of my Grandmother, I created my small business, The Baker by Night. I want my desserts to take you back to the time when desserts were scratch-made and box cakes and canned icing were non-existent.
