Good afternoon, Taylor. Gonna ramble a bit, sorry. I try to only post on Fridays so you are not inundated with nonsense in your Facebook feed constantly. I can appreciate the fact that you probably are already. First, I hope we never forget what happened to OUR country 25 years ago today. Like many of you, I remember exactly where I was. In this age of political finger-pointing, there were no party lines, we were just Americans. I wonder, if that happened today if the parties would accuse each other of making it happen? I don't know. Sometimes bad people do bad things.
Secondly, would like to say we have a new menu. No price changes, just killed a few items that didn't move and added some others, like our Cajun BBQ wings and Wet wings. Your feedback when we tested new flavors in June was great. Thank you!
Lastly, 'tis the season for donations. Literally, everyday, someone wants us to donate something. I get it. These are really tough times. Fuel is high, food is high, everyone has less money in their pockets. Earlier this year, we actually reduced our pricing and since then, every month our sales have been up year over year. Except August. To pull back the curtain a little, since we have opened in December 2024, we have actually been profitable 1 month. Every other month we have lost money. My partners and I have spent well over $300,000 since then out of our pockets to keep it afloat. That's ok, for now. I believe in Taylor, I think it is an amazing town, and I believe in this concept. To help create value, we give teachers here 20%, we introduced a 4" sandwich special and we have the pizza slice special, all for less than $10. We have helped every school organization that has asked, feeding the Taylor band last year, providing pizzas when the new pool opened, City Of Taylor, Texas Animal Shelter, Thrall football and others. I have not increased prices even though, like you, our food costs and labor costs are all up. I believe in this investment. All that being said, please, those of you who represent PTO's for your schools, don't be upset with me if I can't give you everything you want for free. I will do my best to make it a win-win for all of us as I have with everyone who has asked in the past. I don't speak for every business here and helping the community is something I truly love doing. I am not looking for pity or telling you this to spin a sad story, it's business and it takes time. If you need help feeding people, let me know. We help local golf events like the Boys and Girls Club, Hutto Holes for hunger, American Legion, Graham D Luhn Post 39 and others.
