In 1993, Frank Carlisle had a vision to offer unique Italian dishes with a Cajun flair. He quickly acquired a steady clientele who were intrigued by the blend of flavors and family atmosphere. By 1999 Frank, who had been in the restaurant business for over twenty years, decided to retire, leaving Frankie’s in the capable hands of Lionel Brambila. ide with Frank from day one. Lionel has not only carried on Frank’s vision of offering quality food for locals and newcomers alike, but also expanded Frankie's mission by completely remodeling the restaurant, adding new menu offerings, and establishing a fleet of delivery vehicles. Today, Lionel strives to maintain the family feel of the restaurant. His father, Justino (Gus), creates and concocts the delicious sauces in the kitchen and has been for over 25 years! Lionel’s wife, Ivonne, bakes the scrumptious desserts offered daily. She is most known for her apple cake, carrot cake, chocolate cake, and tiramisu. In addition to Lionel’s immediate family, Frankie's loyal employees are an extension of this bond, which makes the familial atmosphere that much more apparent.
