September is a time to remember that our veterans carried the weight of freedom home.

Some battles don’t end when the uniform comes off.

This month, let’s make an effort to reach out, listen, ask the question, and be there. Sometimes a simple conversation can make a difference.

If you’re a veteran, know that you are not alone.
If you know a veteran, check in on them. You never know what someone may be carrying behind a smile.

We stumbled upon Tarpon Family Diner by accident—we walked in on their first day open.

Since then, we've been back for breakfast and recently stopped in for lunch. The food has been consistently good, the service has been excellent, and that cozy neighborhood-diner feeling made us feel right at home.

When I visit local restaurants, I’ll be finding out which ones welcome our four-legged family members.

Is there outdoor seating?
Are dogs welcome?
Is the atmosphere dog-friendly?

And most importantly…

Does Apollo approve? 🐶
