Last night we lost one of our own at ShowTenders. Jimmy lost his battle with cancer after a long fight.

James Michael Patrick Skeadas, The Irish Cowboy, Uncle Jimmy or Obi Wan. Jimmy was known by any of these names but the most fitting is Legend.

He was always available to help everyone in the industry. And many are where they are today in part by Jimmy’s help.

Jimmy was one of the greatest trash talkers around. If he had a kind word for you, he liked you. But if he gave you crap, it meant he Loved you. And he loved many…

Jimmy had an incredible memory. He was often asked to help with presentations as his penchant for numbers was legendary.

He could give you stats for just about any game in history from basketball to the Olympics. His specialty was golf. He could tell you what anyone in the industry hit on any hole in any tournament in history. And if you had a bad hole he took glee in never letting you forget.

So, if you have a fond memory of Jimmy, raise a glass in his honor.

Jimmy, brother we Love you and Miss you! Until we meet again, keep the Harp cold and the Drambuie ready.
