What forces drive dine out choices?
Does buying local matter?
How many places do that?
Is it the freshness, benefit to our neighbor, or returning spend to the community?
Do huge menus shout frozen food, laced with chemicals or does the variety override a need for fresh, quality, and cooked to order?
Does value play in? Many base value on low price, yet almost all cheap things have the least value and things that benefit us, come from professional labor, and serve our community always cost more.
Not all ingredients are created equal. The time has come to reduce endless frozen shipping containers, loaded with chemicals crossing the oceans for our dinner tables.
Our neighbors fish. They still farm, though shrinking, as we opt for cheaper labor and foreign products. How do we get back to community, buying from and benefiting neighbors, friends, local families, all while getting far better products? 🙌🙌🙌🙌
