With today being World Epilepsy Day I figured I'd give a little update on our sweet Aiden.
The Neurologist officially diagnosed him with Epilepsy. He's on Keppa (seizure medicine) now and that has helped tremendously but have not stopped the seizures completely. He's had three of the little partial/focal seizures and this past Sunday morning he had a big seizure. I called the neurologist to see if they wanted to increase his medication but she didn't want to until after they do his EEG. Which is scheduled for May 4, I'm going to call them though and see if there's anything available before then, just seems like a long time to wait.
Overall though, he's doing much better, when he first started the medicine he was barely eating and was extremely tired all day. But he is eating much better and doesn't seem as drowsy during the day.
Thank you all so much for the continued prayers through this new journey. We just thought Autism was difficult, but put Epilepsy on top of that and it can be a bit overwhelming at times. However, we are very blessed with a very sweet loving boy (actually 2, and 1 on the way) and I couldn't ask for a better husband and daddy for our babies. Hope you all have a wonderful day today!! 💜
